Britton Turns 3 and Reagan's Baptism

We had one grand ol' celebration last Sunday for Britt's 3rd birthday and Reagan's baptism. Both of our families (minus Courtney an Keith, who we missed very much!) made the trip into town for church and then a little backyard celebration.

I ran around like a crazy person and didn't get many good pics on my phone, so I need to stalk my mom, sister, and sister in law for theirs' soon.

Here are a few decent ones:

A note on posting & Easter Pic

You would think that I would have things figured out by now, now that Britt is becoming more independent an Reagan reaches her first birthday, but obviously by my lack of posting, I do not! It's not that we don't have much going on, or that things aren't great...in fact it's quite the contrary. The days are filled with lots (much exciting, much mundane), and I just have let some things slide as other things pop up. In fact, things are awesome for We Are Marshall!

So I'm going to try to post as often as I can, but the posts might just be a picture or two, or a quick update on a new thing that B or R is doing. Nothing life changing (or even exciting) for anyone else, but more so so that I have something to look back at.

Here's a recent favorite pic (from church on Easter):

Peek a boo, I love you!

This video was taken in Saturday Feb 4 and is one of my favs so far. I had just run a 5k PR that morning (finally under 22 minutes!), and we were waiting at the CVS MinuteClinic because Justin had a miserable sinus/ear infection.

Over a month later, Reagan still loves her cow (more than ever...did I mention I had to buy a back up on eBay and paid a pretty hefty penny? All in the name of love (or to calm her fussiness)).

So I've Finally...

...Fixed my never ending blog issues. I've been trying to fix the iphone app without having to ditch it and start over but sadly no success. Bad news is I lost all my drafts over the last few weeks. Good news is I have lots to re-write, and hopefully the video uploader will cooperate. Hopefully I'll get around to it soon, in between chasing a crazy 10 mth old (who can climb the stairs in 1 min flat) and being a short order cook to an almost-3 year old's insatiable appetite. Oh yeah, and that thing called work as well...
Happy Monday.

New Favs

R LOVES the park swing (never really took to her baby swing though, it's officially put up for good at the house of Marshall). She's so content hanging out whisle B plays. Thank goodness the weather has been nice (well actually verging on TOO warm).

YouTube Video

B's new fav is his water table that has now become a sand box/table. Our poor flower beds are looking rough from all the digging he's done in the bark and dirt (yes, keepin' it classy around here).

And our new favorite way to shop. R loves being out of her infant seat, and luckily B cooperates and doesn't stand up (we'll see how long that lasts).

My new favorite outfit (on the clearance rack, whoop whoop). I'm obsessed with paisley.

And Justin's new favorite pastime with Reagan. Just kidding, but had to include this picture. We really spice it up on weekends around here.

8 mths old today!

It was Britton's first day back at school, and Reagan and I were bored and procrastinating getting work done.

I can't believe I already have an eight month old again! She's cutting a second tooth, so she's been kind of fussy and drooly. Here's a few shots of us goofing off in the bathroom mirror.

Prior to poop explosion....

Post poop explosion... She was obviously dying to wear her cougar outfit today...

And Mr. Too Cool for School at pickup today...

On another note, I did an Insanity DVD yesterday, which I never think are over-the-top hard because they're short, but my legs are burning today. I managed to pound out 5 miles at the Y at a sub 8 min pace today though. Training is going well for St Pete RNR half in February. I rewarded myself with fries and split a milkshake with B today after school on our weekly McD's date. As you can see I've already broken any resolution to cut out the crap, and I'm hoping the gym Januarians will die down soon...I like the nursery and cardio equipment empty!!

Happy Thursday.

Reagan - lucky month 7

Before I forget, I wanted to make note of what a big month 7 has been for Reagan. I'll probably move this over to the Watch Reagan Grow page (which is totally not up to date, and speaking of, Britt's is still empty...).

- "Crawling" - more of a fast pace army crawl, but nonetheless very effective.

- She says "dadadada and has just recently started saying "lalalalala".

- Can get from all fours back to sitting on her bottom and visa versa.

- First taste of puffs and yogurt melts. She is a HORRIBLE solid food eater at this point though. We're actually giving her a bottle of formula to get her to sleep longer than a few hours at night. It seems to be working, which is good because my bag is out of tricks with Mis Fussy Pants and her bad sleeping habits.

That's about it (well, all I can think of at the moment). Here's a few recent pics of my Priss Pot:

Christmas Day 2011 in Pics

We had a great first Christmas as a family of four. Below is the morning in pics. We started early, B&R were both up at 6. We also took a walk to the neighborhood playground, in 80+ degree weather, which rally put a squash on the cute Christmas shirts I bought B&R to wear. Next year I'm designing a line of Christmas day bathing suits...I could've made a killing this year.

Everyone got a nap (Britton slept for four hours!!) and lots of playing time. Justin and I had a red neck Christmas Happy Hour (t-shirts, flip flops, folding chairs, beer, and baby-wearing on the driveway), and then we ended the day with a perfect Christmas meal, Feliz Navidad Style...skirt steak with homemade chimichurri, rice, and plantains.

Merry Christmas 2011 from We Are Marshall!

Approaching the loot...

Attempting to make sense of what he sees...

All he asked for was, "more choo choos". Santa thought he had been a good boy and deserved a train table.

Only took Santa two hours to build!

Morning cup of Joe...

Pretty presents...

Little helper elf...

We could start a Cars museum with the amount of Lightning McQueen and Mater paraphernalia we own.

I love eating bows!

Starting our collection of Toy Story gear this year...

"You're my favorite deputy!"

Let the Talkin Begin

Reagan started saying "dada" this week. I heard it first Wednesday night but I have yet to really catch a good one on video. She usually sings it in her crib or the car when no one is bugging her....hence when I turn the camera on she gets a little shy.

Air Quote Crawling Air Quote

Here's Reagan's current mode of transport. She's been doing the exact same thing for a week. Also still doing her Pilates with a side of rocking back and forth on her knees.

Come On Ride That Train

Over Thanksgiving, we took Britton and Reagan to Stone Mountain, which is a local attraction that I grew up going to over the summers, mostly to see nightly the laser show.

The "theme park" has grown since I was a child (now costs a whopping $27 to get in), and Christmas is one of the best times to visit. We rode the train, which has a real conductor and circles the mountain. Britton was in total heaven! I wish we could've made it back, but don't worry, Britt's overwhelming excitement convinced us to buy season tickets, so now we can go for the next 12+ months.

Here are a few pictures. It started raining just after dark, so we didn't get to sit on Santa's lap. Oh well...there's always Bass Pro for that.

Baby Pilates

No, if you wonder, I don't usually subject my children to naked pictures, but it makes this that much funnier.
