I've Officially Gone Girly

Today marks the first official day I have put a bow in Reagan's "hair" (term used loosely at this point). I swore I would never succumb to full-blown dress up with a daughter, but I found some cute (cheap) smaller ones at Target that her daddy won't think are totally obnoxious. Check out her sweet outfit too, courtesy of ZZ. Minus the major baby acne going on (why don't they make baby Pro Active?), she's such a little diva today!

Fun with Friends

Megan and Ian Milligan came to visit this morning while the dads were out playing golf. They brought us Chick Fil A breakfast, which always makes me happy! Of course we forgot to take pictures while they were here, but Ian gave Britt his first official play doh set. I had almost as much fun playing with it as Britt did. That smell brings back some memories, huh? Best of all, Britt didn't eat any :-)

Need a little help here...

One of Britt's new favorite pastimes....the baby swing. Note it's 8:15 on Saturday morning and we are almost through our first viewing of Cars (as playing in back ground) for the day.

Poop Camp Success

This accomplishment deserves a second post. 3 days, 2 gallons of tea, 1 Lightning McQueen toilet, 2 packs of "big boy" underwear, 2 packs of stickers, 1 pack of gummy worms, 3 accidents, and no less than 1000 "are you dry, tell mama/dada when you need to go" pop quizzes, and we have successfully finished potty training. Here is Britt's Sticker chart at the end. We even made it out of the house today for 3 hours and he used the big potty.

Poop Camp

So here we go....it's potty training time in the House of Marshall.

We're actually on the last day of 3daypottytraining.com (by Lora Jensen), and it's actually working. Britt is such a trooper to be cooped up in the house, and it's hard for me to take a break from almost everything else, but it's paying off. He even stayed dry last night!! Sure, he's had an accident or two, but he's caught himself every time and initiated going to his potty each time. It's really taught him quickly to learn his body signals on his own.

We're going to venture out tomorrow, Lightning McQueen potty in tow, wish us luck!

PS - I've never loved my iPhone or the apps on it more than the last three days (while sitting and watching 100 of Britt's favorite shows....Thomas the Train tops the list of bad British entertainment).

A Beautiful New Addition

Miss Reagan Hannah Marshall arrived (via scheduled c-section) at 7:37 am on May 5, 2011. She weighed 7lbs 14 oz (I knew she was going to be bigger than her brother!) and measured 20 3/4 inches. I think she looks very similar to Britton as a newborn, more like her daddy than me!

She's such a sweet baby (so far!), and is eating well and sleeping pretty well. She's a snuggle bug, she loves to curl herself up on my chest, which is so sweet.

Britton is an amazing big brother...he loves to give her a paci and kiss her feet. We'll see soon if he wants to send her back or keep her!

The Nursery Gets a Makeover (oh, and we have a name)!

Baby Reagan Hannah Marshall will be here on May 5 (cinco de mayo party!), so we have been hard at work giving the nursery a makeover. I decided to go a bit of an non-traditional route for baby Reagan with blue and green paisley (and to be honest, we didn't want to paint again!), but I think we found a great girl pattern that we really love. Actually I bought this pattern over 2 years ago for Britt but thought it was too girly, so I was very excited to re-purchase it!

The letters on the wall are a story in themselves, needless to say I have spent almost every free minute at night working on them over the past week!

New Train

Water Table Fun

Britt has been wanting to spend more and more time outside, but it's hard to contain him in our little yard. Since it's warm now (actually verging on hot already!), we brought out the water table he got for Christmas from Grandma and Grandpa Marshall. He played for over an hour without stopping, which allowed Justin and I to get some serious yard work done. Hope the fun doesn't ever stop with this thing!

Big Boy Room

Today is Day 1 of sleeping in the new Big Boy Room. We've spent a lot of time in it reading, playing, and "practicing" in bed. Here are some pictures of the finished product and of him today before naptime.

Northern Visitors

Ma and Uncle John came down last week for a visit to Justin's parents' house, so we spent last Sunday visiting with them. Britt was super-well behaved, especially since we made the drive up and back that day and went out to a nice lunch. Here are a few pictures with Ma.

Super Bowl Fun at the Foxworthy's House

Britt and Cole had some major fun on Super Bowl Sunday. These two really egg each other on, but usually behave very well together! Of course we made them take silly "future blackmail pictures", hah!

We start our mornings out with Clifford, usually in the high chair during breakfast. Probably a bad habit, but it gets him in such a good mood for the day!

Burger Family Christmas - Dec 16-19, 2010

We drove up to Atlanta to spend some time with my family before heading out for Japan. We got to go out for Big Daddy's 60th birthday and have an early Christmas before our big trip.
