Water Table Fun
Britt has been wanting to spend more and more time outside, but it's hard to contain him in our little yard. Since it's warm now (actually verging on hot already!), we brought out the water table he got for Christmas from Grandma and Grandpa Marshall. He played for over an hour without stopping, which allowed Justin and I to get some serious yard work done. Hope the fun doesn't ever stop with this thing!

I love Clifford the Big Red Dog!
We start our mornings out with Clifford, usually in the high chair during breakfast. Probably a bad habit, but it gets him in such a good mood for the day!

Burger Family Christmas - Dec 16-19, 2010
We drove up to Atlanta to spend some time with my family before heading out for Japan. We got to go out for Big Daddy's 60th birthday and have an early Christmas before our big trip. Below are some of my favorite pics. Uncle Zac gave Britton a Mr. Potato Head, and ZZ and Big Daddy gave him a Little People Airplane and Radio Flyer Tricycle.

Baby Girl Marshall 23 Weeks
I didn't get to post it before we left for the holidays, but most of you who read this blog know that we are having a girl! No serious name conversations yet, although I think Justin and I will disagree more this time around.
Here is a pic from today (1/13/11). I'll be 23 weeks tomorrow and have about 15 to go, as she will be a scheduled c-sec at the beginning of May. I've gained about 16 lbs so far, and baby's measurements were healthy and right on schedule at our 19 week ultrasound.

Christmas at Sea World
We've had such a great time this year with our Sea World passes, but the best trip yet was this past Monday. The entire park is set up for Christmas, and many of the normal attractions and shows have been changed into Christmas themed shows. We did the Polar Express (which is usually the Arctic attraction), and we all loved it. First we saw a short movie that made us feel like we were on the Polar Express to the North Pole. After the movie, we entered the attraction, which always has sea lions, walruses, beluga whales, and polar bears, but this time Santa greeted us and the entire place was decorated for Christmas and smelled like hot chocolate.
Next we saw the Shamu show, which has always been Britt's favorite, but I thought they had stepped it up a few notches. An amazing saxaphone player played Christmas carols prior to the show, and then the show had a Miracle theme with lots of Christmas lights and music. It was also our first night-time show, which I thought made it seem even better.
We're hoping to go back once more before our holiday craziness begins. Here's a family pic we had a tourist take of us, which I think turned out pretty good!

Baby Marshall Bump 12 Weeks
Here is my first belly pic of Baby Marshall 2. This is at 12 weeks, which is where I started with Britt, and I'll try to do one every few weeks.
I've gained a lot of weight already (about 11 lbs), but I technically still weigh less than I did with Britt at this point. However, I feel A LOT bigger! So far this time has been tougher, because I felt sick from 6-12 weeks and had the worst cold I've had in a long time. Also, I think running after a toddler just plain wears you out...no more working on the couch for 12 hours a day like I did two years ago!

18 Month Update

(Farmer's market in Fayetteville, AR Oct 16, 2010)
Britt's 18 Month Check up was actually on Oct 21, which is closer to 19 months, but we had gotten backed up due to a prior ear infection.
Here is a summary at 15 Months:
- 23 lbs, 4 oz
- 31 (shorty!)
- Has mastered up and down the steps comfortably, and is working on jumping (he gets about 1/2 inch off the ground!)
- Has progressed to full jibber-jabber conversations but has not picked up many decipherable words in the last few months. Newest is "moo", "ut oh", and "oh no", "tractor" (he loves roadside construction and calls all machinery a tractor).
- He's become a little bit of a picky eater, which is hard not to cater to, but he loves veggie straws (they are like chips made out of veggies and shaped like a french fry), turkey dogs, nutrigrain bars, mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, and he still loves chipotle!
- He's mastered using a straw with a lid and usually does so without spilling much. He also loves loves loves ice cubes. We constantly have wet spots all over the house, as we allow him to carry them around. They also hold him over at a restaurant while we attempt to watch football :-)
- We are still active in our play group and try to do something once or twice a week.
- I never thought we would get to this point, but he loves going to the gym nursery about 3-4 times a week. He has a favorite teacher, and they love him as well. It's nice to open the door and see him run to his favorite toys and be able to have some time to myself. He also has been great in the church nursery and will start going more if he ever drops his morning nap for good.
- He still loves Clifford and Wheel of Fortune, and now dances his pants off t jeopardy music. I also let him watch Nick Jr while I'm taking a shower in our room, and he seems to really enjoy that.
- I also never thought we would put our books to use, but now I am so glad we received so many as gifts. No exaggeration, we read at least 10 books a day. He could read for hours on end. His favorites rotate, but now are "Be Gentle with The Dog Dear", "Things That Go", and "Busy Bees".
- He has a minor obsession with trucks, we have WAY too many around the house!

Overall Update on Life
First (as usual) I have to say it has been extremely too long since I've posted, but we have so many things going on right now that time has really gotten away from me.
1. Justin left Chep and has other exciting opportunities that are working out well. It was a long, hard decision to make, but it's going to be fantastic for his career and for our family overall. Which leads to point #2...
2. We will likely move if the opportunity arises. Our house is on the market, but we are in a tough situation with the Orlando real estate market, so we have lots of things to consider before we jump into anything. We never thought when we built this house three years ago that we would be trying to leave it so soon. Anybody want to buy a traditional sale? I know they are few and far between these days!
3. My laptop is about to bite the dust. This wouldn't be a huge problem if Justin wasn't in the office almost everyday. Not that I'm blaming him at all, but I might just have to start dragging our iMac out in the kitchen everyday :-) I'm on my macbook now, and it's given me an impressive 10hrs/day for over 4 years, so I shouldn't complain.
4. Lots of family things going on as well - I turned the big 30, Justin is about to turn 32 next week, Ashley got married (need to post pics, best time ever!), Michelle got engaged, and we are planning a very large trip over the holidays to Japan. Oh yeah, and I still attempt to work every free minute I get, so that pretty much fills up our days!
Coming soon...18 month update (well, 19 months actually), and Halloween pics. I promise promise promise to spend at least a little bit of time each week posting!

15 Months Old
Have lots to post about since I've fallen behind again, but we went in for Britt's 15 month check up last week, which didn't go quite as planned. First, he weighed in a 21.5lbs, which means he's only gained a few ounces. Not a problem at all according to the doc, since he's been running around for months now and is looking more like a toddler than a blubbery baby. The great news is that he grew over 2 inches and is 30 1/4 inches now, woop woop! He also had his first ear infection (actually in both ears), so we were not able to get his boosters. We head back in two weeks for a follow up and to try again with the shots.
Here is a summary at 15 Months:
- 21 lbs, 5 oz (need to check what percentile)
- 30 1/4 inches (need to check what percentile)
- Walks, runs, climbs up the steps, working on going back down on his belly, climbs his slide and slides down all by himself, and he LOVES to dance to anything.
- Says Dada, Mama, Ball, Dog, Duck, Go go, and a few other mumbo-jumbo words (tbd)
- Can jump to me in the pool and go under, loves to blow bubbles, is comfortable laying on his back and belly in the pool if I have a hand on him
- His favorite food is a bowl at Chipotle (rice, black beans, chicken, corn, tomatoes, cheese, guac). He cannot get enough of this place and clearly takes after his dad. He has also discovered that we drink diet coke and not water, so he has decided he loves that as well (I know, I'm a horrible mom for giving into my child and feeding him caffeine and artificial sweetner!)
- He drinks about 20 oz of milk per day and is not a fan of juice. He prefers water in his cup over juice, which makes me very happy.
- He has discovered balloons at Publix and gets excited every time we walk in. He points and squeals while we check out until he gets one.
- He has made many friends in his play group (so have I!), and we try to do something at least once or twice a week.
- We have been to see the Shamu Show at Sea World a few times, and he LOVES it! We even took Aunt Courtney, who was visiting. He loves to see the sharks and dolphins too.
- He still loves Clifford and Wheel of Fortune, along with So You Think You Can Dance.
That's about it for now.

I Love Clifford, The Big Red Dog!
Here's what we did at 7am this morning. We usually have a dance party every day, but Britt started early this morning. He doesn't watch very much TV, but he loves Clifford!
